Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs) Expansion

Chris co-sponsored the Citywide ADUs project, allowing accessory dwelling units in all residential areas. This policy promotes gentle density, helping families create affordable housing options while preserving neighborhood character. Thanks to this initiative, residents can add smaller units to their properties, offering affordable living spaces for renters or family members.

Supportive Housing Development

Chris partnered with the Saint Francis Center to open 48 supportive housing units for individuals transitioning from homelessness. These units provide not only stable housing but also essential services, such as counseling and job training, helping residents rebuild their lives.

Affordable Housing Advocacy

Chris supported citywide initiatives requiring developers to dedicate a portion of new projects to affordable housing or contribute to a city fund to create such housing. Chris has helped ensure these policies result in real, on-the-ground impacts, increasing housing stock and giving more Denver residents the chance to stay in their communities.
